Let me recommend another book, which amplifies a theme mentioned briefly in the article: "A Call to Arms" by Maury Klein. It's a great history of the struggles of FDR and his administration to mobilize the country in 1940-41, and then after the US got into the war. Perhaps an under-appreciated work, but highly worthwhile.
Probably should have talked about psyops a lot more. This is weird and it is hardly mentioned. I have some friends in the pentagon and just during conversations they will mention this and say no one talks about psyops and the numerous trolling and algo bots coming for your hearts and minds. This is something so prevalent. But it is difficult to deal with especially when you're a working stiff working your butt off to pay the bills and keep everyone happy. You don't have time to research everything you read and look up guys like you writing here with your agendas? So, we just blow it off, too much information as the saying goes unfortunately.
